Dior Riviera

While I was in Chennai, I went shopping and got this Dior lipstick. It was my first time trying Dior. These lipsticks have been on a rage on Youtube.

I always wanted an orange/coral color lipstick but never found one which suits my skintone. It's either too pigmented or too bright. I like something subtile with a touch of gloss. So I finally found my perfect shade of coral color lipstick. Dior Addict Extreme in the shade 639 Riviera is a light coral with a pink undertone. It's not very pigmented as you can see. It has a lot of gloss. And it doesn't dry out your lips at all. You might want to retouch after 3-4 hours maybe. It doesn't stay for a long time. But I love this lipstick. It is very spring/summer kind of color.

What I don't like about this product is its' packaging. The cover is very large and I got a little confused on how to open it because you have to pull the little ball at the end and not the gold rim. Why does a thin stick need such a big cover?

Over all I like this product. Go try on their lipsticks, they have an amazing list of shades. I give this a 4/5.

Chennai time!!

Where have I been this whole week?
Chennai baby!!

Got super bored in Mumbai so went to Chennai for a week. Why Chennai? Because I love the food there!! South Indian Non-Veg food is the best food I've ever had. Yummaayy!!!  My hotel room was lovely. The hotel had a rooftop swimming pool and spa which overlooked the city. I spent my week by going to sightseeing spots and enjoying South Indian food. And of course I shopped! :D I regret not taking my DSLR, I could have clicked some really nice pictures.

Chennai has changed a lot in the couple of years. The last time I went there, they weren't that many malls and brands around. This time there were some new malls and a lot of brands. That is so good! The airport has also changed. It's completely redesigned. It is almost like the Mumbai airport. The Metro is still on work. I think once that's done, Chennai will be a lot better. Compared to Mumbai roads, Chennai roads are so clean! Traffic is just the same though. One thing you will not like about Chennai is its heat. It is really hot. It's always very hot. I think the worst time to go there is between March-May. The heat will literally kill you. But I really enjoyed this trip. :)

Oh and if you ever go to Chennai, you have to try Chettinad food. That's the whole reason why I went to Chennai in the first place. Haha!

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen some of these pictures already. Here are some pictures I clicked from my Android.

Paul Mitchell Seal and Shine

Haiirrrr styling!!! Curling irons, hair straighteners, blow dryers, etc, cause damage to the hair. You know that right? Any heat used on the hair is not good. We use them anyways but too much use of these tools can destroy your hair.

I understand that sometimes we have to go to parties/events and you want to look the best. You want your hair to have those perfect curls or as poker straight as Lady Gagas'. We can't completely stop the damage when using heat but we can reduce the damage that will be caused. Using a heat protectant on the hair will help do so.

Paul Mitchell is a well known brand and they have amazing products such as the 'Seal and Shine'. This product seals the hair shaft and gives it a protective layer. It doesn't let the heat penetrate through. It conditions and moisturizes the hair. The product adds shine to your hair after you've used heat. Use this spray more on the ends than on the roots. Best results are when you use this on slightly damp hair but you can also use it on dry hair. This spray doesn't have any smell to it. A little is enough, too much of this spray can weigh the hair down and make it look greasy.

There are many brands which sell such products. A very popular one is the Tresemme heat protectant. They all work the same way. But make sure you use a heat protectant before you heat style your hair. You don't want your hair to get burnt and fall off, do you?
