Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask

I have been searching for this product everywhere! As I can't get my hands on Macadamia Natural Oil as yet, I thought i'd give this a try first. Moroccanoil offers luxury hair and body care products. They have different hair treatments according to the type of hair you have. There are three different types of hair mask, I got the Intense Hydrating hair mask as my hair is colored and very dry.

This product contains Argan Oil. Argan Oil is very good for your the hair, it acts like a conditioner. What this product does is it gets moisture back into your hair and nourishes it. It improves elasticity, texture and shine. You apply it just like how you put on a face mask. It works the same way. The instructions on the tub says that you should use this after you have towel-dried your hair. What I do is I shampoo my hair, towel-dry it and then add a small scoop of the mask on my hair and spread it out evenly. I use more on the ends of my hair then on my roots. I leave it on for about 10 minutes or more and then rinse it.

The product comes in a 250ml tub. It is easy to open and doesn't take a lot of space. It comes with a lid inside. The mask has a creamy texture and is very thick. It's like a small tub of gump! Haha! The smell from this mask is amazing! It has a sandalwood type, musky yet not so strong sweet smell to it; in shot it smells like a mens perfume. The sent stays on your hair even after you wash it. I can't stop smelling this product!

After I washed my hair and air dried it, I definitely saw a huge deference in my hair. It was moisturized, smooth, non-frizzy, voluminous and shinny. And of course it smelled great! My hair remained healthy looking and bouncy all day long. The effect was there until the next wash. I follow up with some Argan oil on the ends for more nourishment.

I think this product can be used by dry and damaged hair. There is another mask which does the same thing for people with thin hair, which is less intense. This is recommended to use twice a week for better results.

I for sure recommend this product. It is expensive but totally worth the price. A complete 5/5 for this one. Go Moroccanoil!

If you can get your hands on the Macadamia Natural Oil mask then let me know from where you got it and tell me how that worked out for you. Bye! :]

Mac Studio Fix Fluid

I recently purchased the Studio Fix Fluid foundation from Mac. It's my first liquid foundation in a long while. I went through a lot of YouTube reviews and hear what the beauty gurus have to say. I looked at alternatives and finally decided to get this product. This is one of the most raved about foundation out of all the other Mac foundations and it certainly does live up to it!

I went into the Mac store and asked the make up artist to help me out with the Studio Fix Fluid. One thing you should remember is that it is important to get the right shade for your skin tone. It is always better to go to the store, look at the product see the actual color, texture, etc, try it on yourself and then decide if you want to buy it. You don't want your face to be a different shade from your body. And also when you are changing from a powder foundation to a liquid foundation, the shade might differ. I have the Studio Fix Powder in the shade NC45. The artist tried three different shades on my face. NC44.5 was the perfect match to my skin tone.

Studio Fix Fluid comes in a 30ml glass bottle. It has a ceramic lid. The opening is pretty wide and easy to pour. The foundation has a thick but liquid consistency. At first when the artist was applying it on me I thought it might be the brush or the make up remover which had an odd smell, but it was actually the foundation. It kind of smells like Dettol. It has a very medical-chemically smell to it. This might irritate you at first but you'll get used to it. The smell doesn't stay on for a long time so that's one good thing. This foundation gives you a medium to build-able coverage and it has SPF15. I say it's almost matte but it does have a tiny bit dewy finish to it. If this could work on my combination skin than it could work on any skin!

I really wish this product came with a pump for easier use. It can get a little messy pouring out the foundation, you might just pour a little too much and waste it. But Mac does sell a pump separately. The pump comes in a small packet, you just have to take the lid off and screw in the pump on the bottle. The pump comes with a small lid to protect the opening. You could keep it or trow away the lid. I prefer to keep the lid on for hygiene and safety.

So all in all, I say this product is absolutely amazing! It is just like your skin. I give it a 4/5, minus one for not having a pump.

PS - I just read on the site that shade 44.5 is limited edition. :(

Lancome Hypnose Waterproof Mascara

Something that every girl needs to have is mascara!

Loncome has a range of mascaras. They have one for volume, curl, length, etc. Loncome Hypnose Waterproof Custom Volume Mascara I've heard is one of the top, best mascaras. A lot of Bloggers have raged about this product. That's how I actually when out and got this. I was looking for a good high-end waterproof mascara and this was on rage at the moment.

This product comes in two shades: black and brown. I got the black one. You could get the brown one for a more natural look. This ones waterproof, so there is no worry about it melting or coming off at any point of the day. It does last a long time without any smudges. No irritation. It comes with a thin wand and short, close bristles. Always wear two coats for better effect.

What I don't like about this product is that the mascara can be a little thick. So when you apply it, it kind of all clumps together and makes spidery eyelashes. I need to go over it with an eyelash comb to separate my lashes. Also, I feel like it doesn't give a lot of volume. I think this mascara works best for a day time long wear, natural look.

You could use a lash primer before for better results. Loncome does have a lash primer which I've heard is good.

I rate this product a 3/5. I don't know if I would purchase this again but it is a good product, worth the price.

Now, go bat those eyelashes! ;)

This past month

Hello Everybody!

The past one month has been the most relaxed one month in years I must say. Done with my Bachelors and now I am just jobless (pun on that). And surprisingly I haven't been shopping all that much. That's why I haven't blogged in a while. But I have started to be more healthy, well, at least trying to be. Haha!

I have stopped having any kind of cheesy food and aerated drinks. Hows that for a start eh? Fruit juices are in and bottles and bottles of water. As Mumbai does't have spring and it is pretty hot already, I need to keep myself well hydrated.

For the first time ever, I baked cookies! My friend and I made about 9 different types of cookies: cinnamon, ginger, coconut, lemon, choco-chip, peanut butter, oat meal, melting moments and butter cookies. It was so exciting! I thought it would be hard but it was very easy. All of them came out just right and were so yummy! =P

I also went to a water park with my friends and I got terribly tanned. I'm not a big fan of getting tanned as I already have a tan skin tone. If you guys know any way of getting rid of your tan, lemme know!

Thats about it for April. Nothing all that exciting.

Tell me how your April went.

Bye! :*
